Grabbitz Returns to VALORANT With “If The Sun Burns Out Tonight”
The producer, songwriter and vocalist joins Oli Sykes and Courtney LaPlante for the 2026 VALORANT Champions anthem.
There’s a good chance you’ve already heard Grabbitz, even if you haven’t fully made your way into his catalog yet.
The producer, songwriter and vocalist has spent years moving between electronic music, alternative and rock, working with artists like Subtronics, deadmau5 and bbno$ while continuing to build a sound that doesn’t sit comfortably in one lane.
Now, he’s back in the VALORANT world.
Released September 16, “If The Sun Burns Out Tonight” brings Grabbitz together with Bring Me The Horizon’s Oli Sykes and Spiritbox’s Courtney LaPlante for the official 2026 VALORANT Champions anthem.
Written and produced by Grabbitz, the track feels like a natural meeting point between his electronic background and the heavier worlds Sykes and LaPlante come from.

Grabbitz’s history with VALORANT goes back to 2021, when he wrote, produced and performed “Die For You,” the anthem for the first VALORANT Champions tournament.
He continued working with VALORANT as a writer and producer on “Fire Again,” performed by Ashnikko, and later returned alongside bbno$ for “Ticking Away” in 2023.
“If The Sun Burns Out Tonight” marks another chapter in a relationship that has now stretched across several years.
And this one feels especially aligned with where Grabbitz is creatively right now.
Sykes and LaPlante are both artists who have built careers around pushing outside the traditional boundaries of heavy music. Bring Me The Horizon has long mixed rock with electronic production and pop, while Spiritbox moves between atmosphere, melody and some of the heaviest moments in modern alternative music.
Grabbitz fits naturally between the two.

That’s also what makes Grabbitz difficult to sum up in one genre.
Electronic music is an obvious part of his foundation, but his work has always leaned just as heavily on songwriting, vocals and live instrumentation.
His growing list of collaborators reflects that range. From Subtronics and deadmau5 to bbno$ and recent work alongside T-Pain, Grabbitz keeps finding his way into completely different corners of music without losing the parts of his sound that make him recognizable.
His team sees the new VALORANT anthem as a way into that bigger story: an artist whose career keeps expanding beyond the electronic space where many listeners first found him.
We got to see that firsthand earlier this year at Breakaway Arizona.
Everyday Jams caught Grabbitz’s set before our own Brian Zucker, who performs as LEESH, played the same stage the following day. Live, the separation between producer, vocalist and frontman becomes a lot less important. It all feels like part of the same thing.
That makes a collaboration with Sykes and LaPlante feel less unexpected than it might look at first glance.

The new anthem arrives just ahead of VALORANT Champions 2026 in Shanghai, where competition begins September 24.
For longtime VALORANT fans, it’s another chance to hear Grabbitz return to a world he’s been connected to for years.
For everyone coming in through Bring Me The Horizon, Spiritbox or the Champions tournament itself, it might be their first proper introduction.
Either way, “If The Sun Burns Out Tonight” lands at a moment where the rest of Grabbitz’s career feels worth looking back through too.
